About Asheville Academy
Set on an expansive 97 acres, this therapeutic boarding school offers 10-14 year olds a place to overcome their behavioral and emotional challenges. The team of professionals at Asheville Academy develops a plan to address and correct negative behavior patterns before they turn destructive. The youth are welcomed into a community of others that are facing similar challenges. They participate in accredited academic programming that is catered to the individual needs of the student. The center has an immersive approach to therapy and they provide frequent attention and clinical insights that lead to breakthroughs that may take years in a traditional therapeutic setting. The students receive 4 hours of weekly therapy, which can include family, individual, group, equine, psychiatric services, or parental support. Asheville Academy may be right for students who struggle with depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, autism, executive functioning, trauma, trouble with social skills, self-harm, family stress, technology overuse and attachment issues.
